On Monday 7th December at 8pm we’re holding an online launch for my new collection of short stories,Kremlinology of Kisses, published by Blue Door Press.
It’s a collection of twelve short stories exploring the significance of a kiss in the lives of multiple characters. From Renaissance Italy to a prostitute’s bedroom in contemporary London, from the USSR under Brezhnev to a 1970s package holiday in Spain, from a hospital ward today to a ‘bubble’ far in the future, the stories adopt different voices and genres, creating a kaleidoscope of contrasting angles and styles.
At the launch, I’ll be reading from the collection. There will also be an interview conducted by award-winning Caribbean writer, Lawrence Scott, author of novels, including Witchbroom, Aelred’s Sin and Light Falling on Bamboo, as well as a wonderful collection of short stories Leaving by Plane, Swimming Back Underwater. There will be a chance to ask questions about Kremlinology of Kisses and my writing and a virtual popping of champagne corks!
Friends, family, colleagues and other close associates will be receiving invitations but the event is also open to anyone else who wishes to join in. You’re all very welcome!
